The sun was going down, I sat on the steps twiddling the teacup in my hands. My hair falling over the side of my face. I yawned taking in the last bit of the sun. The sky was warm colored with a deep pink hue.
I didn’t move as Mr. Fierro sat down next to me, placing another fragile tea cup full of tea into my hands. The hot liquid was potable but it wasn’t liquor.
“Something does happen next”, I asked, “Right. We’re still. . . cursed to. . . never die.”
“Take it one day at a time”, he offered, “You will get used to the idea.”
“Does this really have to happen ?”, I asked
“The sooner this is done, the better”, he said
“You know something don’t you.”
“Perhaps”, for a moment he looked worried.
“ I don’t want to know”
“I was never going to tell you.”
I set my cup down and gently pushed him back, I took his collar in my hands, I turned so I leaning over him. He remained unfazed.
“Mr. Fierro,Don’t make me force it out of you”
“Please,do”
He pulled me down into a kiss, I couldn’t resist anymore
