So,Chapter 13 is somewhat rich with inference. I thought I might explain here.
After the events of Chapter 11, Lucie goes off to Victor because she is tired of waiting and wants to have Clara's body permanently. Victor tells her to let him deal with it and for her to lay low. However Victor is selfish he wants to kill Mr. Fierro and Clara (More revenge)and could actually care a less about Lucie. He decides to do it then because Lucie is getting so powerful (she has been a Spectre longer)
However when he fails Lucie decides to take matters into her own hands.
Roger was dead before Mr. Fierro found him. Lucie knowing this decided to reanimate her ex-husband (yes, there are zombies) to taunt Mr. Fierro. He attempts to kill Roger but only manages to slash his face. (or so he thinks)
Unfortunately because of the "blind rage" caused by Lucie he accidentally struck Clara (wow, this must be what Shakespeare felt like). Clara who is constantly described as beautiful is now scarred making quite a few things come full circle.
Now I'm sure some of you want a type of explanation from me and I thought I'd give it now if you want it

The Ending
When I started my outline for this story I put how to end the 'Lucie Situation' on the back burner and after thinking about it I realized what had to happen. Specter's can't be easily destroyed. It's one of the reasons Mr. Fierro and Emile were so against it in Litany Lane. To create a Deux ex machina would not be true to the originally story
With that in mind we have to consider Lucie, the only thing she wants (which I think commenter 'Nevah' referred to) is to be with the only person she ever loved. The only way Lucie wold ever stop terrorizing Clara was if she and her husband could truly be together.
I went over this over and over and asked myself if there was anyway to justify another out come and then Patty Griffith and Up To The Mountain (MLK song) showed up and sealed the deal.
What You Really want to know
Is this the end ? Well . . . I do enjoy the idea of trilogies and there is . . . how do I put this ? Something in the works. This new work will be a bit more darker and edgier (I know I said that last time) and will take place in a different time with new characters while still sticking to the spirit of Litany Lane.
